Support The Safe Chemicals Act

Studies are increasingly linking chemical exposure to cancer, learning and developmental problems, obesity and other adverse health effects. Yet each year, approximately 700 new untested chemicals come onto the market.

Legislation to overhaul the nation’s failed chemical regulation law has been introduced in the Senate by Senator Frank Lautenberg and will be introduced in the coming weeks by Congressmen Bobby Rush and Henry Waxman.

The Safe Chemicals Act puts our health first, provides better information to businesses, and helps the average consumer avoid toxic chemicals in every day products, such as water bottles, frying pans and clothing.
